Rabbi Benjamin J. Segal is an author and lecturer, living in Jerusalem. He is past president both of the Schechter Institute of Jewish Studies and of Melitz, the Centers for Jewish and Zionist Education.
He has written on biblical, Talmudic, Zionist and educational issues. His books include: A New Psalm: The Psalms as Literature; Kohelet’s Pursuit of Truth: A New Reading of Ecclesiastes; The Song of Songs: A Woman in Love; Returning: The Land of Israel as Focus in Jewish History; Midrash: The Search for a Contemporary Past. His newest work on the Book of Esther is due to be published soon.
