Torah Lishma: Essays in Jewish Studies in Honor of Professor Shamma Friedman (Hebrew)

For a generation, students of Talmud and Rabbinics in Israel and abroad have relied on the pioneering studies of Prof. Shamma Friedman, one of the leading Talmud scholars in the world. His colleagues and students joined forces to present him with this Jubilee Volume in honor of his 70th birthday. The book contains 26 articles in five categories, which deal with the wide range of Prof. Friedman’s scholarship: higher and lower criticism of the Talmud, Tannaitic literature, Midrash, Rabbinic Hebrew and Aramaic, Rishonim, manuscripts and the history of Hebrew printing. The volume also contains words of tribute and a bibliography of his writings.
