Seize The Moment in Parashat Tetzaveh

Rabbi Dr. Reb Mimi Feigelson, Mashpiah Ruchanit (Spiritual Mentor) and senior lecturer of Rabbinics and Chassidic Thought at the Schechter Rabbinical Seminary, relates to the fifth aliyah of the Parasha:

The sacrificial offering associated with giving thanks to God differs from other sacrifices mentioned in the Torah: All of it must be eaten on the same day and leftovers must be burnt. What about Bal Tashchit? Why would this commandment encourage us to seize the moment?
