Lecturer and head, Mashiv Ha’Ruach Spiritual Care program
Rabbi Valerie Stessin directs Schechter’s Mashiv Ha’Ruach Spiritual Care training program, the core of Schechter’s CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education) initiative. She is a founder of Kashouvot, Israel’s largest spiritual care organization.
She is certified as a spiritual caregiver by the Israel Association for Spiritual Care and received certification from the American organization NAJC (National Association of Jewish Chaplains).
Rabbi Stessen was the first woman ordained by the Schechter Rabbinical Seminary.
